Barbecue stalls now Wi-fi zones

The smell of zesty barbecue on a lonely summer night can always perk up the evening, especially with a bit of company. I was in it for that. Yet, what caught my eye the most was the WIFI signage just outside the barbecue stalls which we term as "larsian". Larsian origninated from Cebu City's famous street food arcade which had nothing to sell but barbecue. Since then, other arcades that specialized in barbecue also named themselves as larsian sa *insert place here*. For instance, our larsian was named as "Larisan sa Lacion (Consolacion)" so you get the picture.

Anyway, this place which encouraged the customers to use hands in eating and had a smoky atmosphere was a Wi-Fi zone. Very very unusual, I would have to say.

I turned to my Windows Phone and indeed, it was a WiFi zone. Is this how techy the world is getting? Maybe a thought worth pondering. Enjoy the last days of your summer!
